Pet First Aid and CPR class at The Animal House
Do you know what to do if your pet has an emergency? Instructor Bobby Silcott will be presenting an American Red Cross Pet First Aid/CPR class at The Animal House on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 2 p.m.
Course topics include: Administering medicine, managing breathing and cardiac emergencies, managing urgent care situation, treating wounds, treating electrical shock, caring for eye, foot and ear injuries and preparing for disasters.
This class is geared toward pet professionals or anyone interested in how to respond in a pet emergency.
The class fee is $70 and includes the class, a book, DVD and a Red Cross Lifetime Certificate, which is recognized nationwide.
All proceeds from this class go to benefit the Maine POM Project, which provides area fire stations with pet oxygen masks. Several local fire departments have received masks as a result of the past classes hosted at The Animal House.
