Proposed ordinance changes keep moving
At Monday night’s Wiscasset Planning Board meeting, the public hearing proved brief for amendments to building laws, zoning, subdivision, shoreland, and historic preservation ordinances. The Ordinance Review Committee prepared the proposed changes. In multiple articles, the references to a town planner were removed because the job is gone.
Proposed changes to historic preservation include adding definitions and changes to procedures. The proposed changes will now go to selectmen, who will decide if the changes will be on the June ballot.
Planning Board Chairman Karl Olson expects more applications in the coming meetings and said several more ordinance changes will be proposed in a public hearing at the next planning board meeting March 9.
