State Rep. Jeffrey P. Hanley (R-Pittston) has been appointed to the 129th Maine Legislature’s Joint Standing Committees on Energy, Utilities and Technology. The committee’s jurisdiction includes Maine’s energy policy, public utilities and the telecommunications industry.

“Maine’s high energy costs continue to be a burden to families, businesses and the economy,” said Hanley. “I am interested in proposals that lower costs for everyone and create more opportunities for people to earn a living.”

Hanley was recently elected to a third term representing District 87: Alna, Pittston, Randolph and Wiscasset.
