Results same in second Damariscotta vote count
The results of Damariscotta’s June 13 election remain the same, but with some different numbers, after a second count. George Parker and Amy Leshure were elected to the Board of Selectmen. A tabulation error made some of the first numbers incorrect.
According to an email the town released, after consulting with an attorney from Maine Municipal Association, the town decided to release a “new count.” The new number for George Parker was 184 votes, and for Amy Leshure, 71 votes. Both of their elections were announced at the June 14 town meeting.
