Rudolf R. “Rudi” Giger, a long-time Boothbay resident, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2024 at age 78. 

He was an expert sailor, avid skier and skilled tennis player. Following his graduation from Babson Business College he was employed by the Paine Webber brokerage firm in Boston, Massachusetts until failing health precipitated his retirement. Shortly thereafter he moved to Boothbay where his family had summered for many years. When his health permitted, he volunteered at the Maine Art Gallery in Wiscasset assisting the director with building maintenance.

His friends want to thank Dr. Barker, his colleagues and the many dedicated members of the staff at St. Andrews who took such compassionate care of Rudi during the last years of his life.
