School panel meets with job candidates
The Wiscasset School Committee plans to interview candidates for the job of Wiscasset Middle School principal on Thursday, May 29. WMS Principal Linda Bleile is retiring after this school year.
The job is the final principal’s slot of the three the committee has had to fill for the town’s first school year outside Regional School Unit 12. Cheri Towle of Newcastle has been picked as Wiscasset High School’s principal; at Wiscasset Primary School, Mona Schlein of Arrowsic is moving up from assistant principal to principal.
The middle school principal candidates’ interviews will be held in executive session.
Policy work is also on the committee’s agenda for Thursday night. The meeting at Wiscasset High School starts at 6 p.m. in Room 1.
