Senator Dana Dow to serve on Marine Resources Committee
Senator Dana Dow (R-Lincoln), Republican leader in the Maine Senate, has been appointed to serve on the Maine Legislature’s Marine Resources Committee.
The Marine Resources Committee has jurisdiction over the state’s commercial marine fisheries management, including the processing and sale of marine fish, shellfish and aquaculture.
“I am very pleased to once again be assigned to this committee because it has such importance to the part of the state I represent,” said Dow. “Maine is known around the world for the quality of seafood that comes from our coastline. I look forward to working with my colleagues to promote our marine industry while also taking the necessary steps to protect our natural resources for generations to come.”
Senator Dow represents District 13 which includes the municipalities and unorganized territories of Windsor, Washington, Alna, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Bremen, Bristol, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Hibberts Gore Township, Jefferson, Louds Island Township, Monhegan Island Plantation, Newcastle, Nobleboro, Somerville, South Bristol, Southport, Waldoboro, Westport Island, Whitefield and Wiscasset.
