Sharon Elizabeth (Reed) Reed of Jacksonville, Florida died Jan. 8, 2023, after a short stay in hospital with family and friends by her side.

She was born July 6, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Sharon met her husband Dennis of 52 years in New Jersey they were married after only knowing each other for two months. It was a case of love at first sight!

Sharon and Dennis moved to Boothbay, Maine and resided there for 22 years. During this time, they raised two children. Sharon worked at Wiscasset Ford, Robinson’s Wharf and few other places as a bookkeeper.

Sharon also attended and was very active in her church at St. Philip’s Episcopal in Wiscasset.

Eventually they moved to Sarasota Florida to take care of Dennis’s mom. After that they moved to Jacksonville, Florida to be closer to their daughter Regan and Sharon’s nephew Mark and his family.

Sharon enjoyed going to and being active in her church at the Church of Our Savior in Jacksonville, Florida.

Sharon also enjoyed having her sister Shirleen who moved close by to visit with.

Sharon was predeceased by her parents Betty and Cletus Reed, her brother Cletus, and her two sisters, Georgetta and Shirleen.

Sharon is survived by her brother Don; her daughter Regan Reed of Florida; son Tim his wife (Donna) of Maine; three grandsons Ryan of Maine, Seth and Patrick of Washington; an honorary daughter and honorary grandson Jana and Devon of Montana; a very special niece Karen; as well as many other nieces and nephews. Sharon is also survived by a very special four-legged daughter named Kati.

A celebration of life was held on Friday Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Our Savior in Jacksonville, Florida.
