On November 7, Brian D. Carver, 33, of Wiscasset was issued a summons for Illegal Attachment of Plates, on Adams Pond Road, Boothbay, by Sgt. Jason Nein.

Recent arrests

On November 6, Alton G. Colby, 46, of Boothbay was arrested for Domestic Violence Criminal Threatening, Refusing to Submit to Arrest of Detention and Violating Condition of Release, on Back Narrows Road, Boothbay, by Deputy Justin Drake, who was assisted by Sgt. Daniel Sceviour.

On November 7, a 17-year-old male juvenile from Boothbay was arrested on a probation hold and charged with two counts of assault. He was taken into custody and transported to Long Creek Detention Center.

Recent accidents

On November 7, an accident occurred on Hendrick’s Hill Road on Southport Island involving Frank W. Brower, 83, of Ponte Vera Beach, Fla. Brower was operating his 2010 Volvo southbound when he fell asleep. As a result, his vehicle crossed the northbound travel lane, left the roadway and struck the embankment and several rocks before coming to rest. Sgt. Jason Nein was the investigating officer.

On November 7, an accident occurred on Route 1 in Edgecomb involving Paula J. Hersom, 49, of Wiscasset. Hersom was operating her 2006 Ford Escape southbound when a deer ran out into the road in front of her and was struck, causing front passenger side damage. Deputy Scott Hayden was the investigating officer.

On November 7, an accident occurred on Alna Road in Alna involving Lacy A. Babineau, 27, of Wiscasset. Babineau was operating her 2003 Ford Explorer northbound when she crested over a hill and encountered a deer in the roadway. Babineau was unable to avoid the deer and struck it. Deputy Matthew Day was the investigating officer.

On November 8, an accident occurred on River Road in Dresden involving David R. Richards, 49, of Richmond. Richards was operating his 1997 Lexus southbound when he lost control of his vehicle around a curve and slid off the roadway and rolled over. Deputy Chad Gilbert was the investigating officer.
