Dear Editor:

Rep. Holly Stover is grounded in her community where she was raised in a family with deep roots in the region. I was surprised to read her opponents LTE as he tried to discredit her commitment to the region and Maine people. The person he described in his letter is not the Holly Stover I have known for over 30 years.  

Holly worked for me when I owned Le Garage in Wiscasset. She was hard working, dependable, able to address even the most challenging guests with grace, skill and compassion. 

Holly’s work and volunteerism reflect what is important to her- faith, family and service. She is an untiring advocate for the people for her District and Maine.  

As the current Representative of District 48 she Chairs the State and Local Government Committee, she is also the Director of the Community Resource Council and Development Director of Lincoln County Dental. But even today with her busy schedule of working and serving in the Legislature she serves on many boards of organizations that impact the lives of all individuals such as: 

• Lincoln Hospital/Maine Health Board of Trustees 2015-present 
• Boothbay Region District Nurses Association, Board of Directors, President 2016-present 
• Boothbay Railway Village, Board of Directors, Vice President 2017-present 
• Boothbay Region Water District Board of Trustees 2022-present 
• Maine Council of Churches, Board of Directors, 2024-present 
• United Way of Midcoast Maine, Governance Committee, 2010-present 

She is an active member of the Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor.  

Holly was selected by the Boothbay Region Chamber of Commerce as the Person of the Year in 2023.  

Also in 2023, she received the Wiscasset Chamber Lifetime Achievement award.  

What more could we want in a person representing us in Augusta? Hard working. Dependable. Skilled. Compassionate. Untiring advocate. Knowledgeable of her community, District and State. A person recognized for her leadership and community involvement.  

Re-elect Holly Stover to the House in District 48.
