Theater Project: Abridged works of William Shakespeare
The Theater Project in Brunswick is excited to present “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” (abridged), written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield.
This uproarious show, directed by Hollie Pryor, brings to life 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in 97 minutes by a cast of three; there are inventive props, ingenious costumes, and clever, cunning wordplay.
Of this fast-paced romp, director Pryor says, “There is going to be something new and a little bit different about this show every night. This show has a wonderful way of reaching those who love Shakespeare and know all of his plays, as well as those who have seen one play, or read a play or two in school.”
“The Complete Works of William Shakespeare” (abridged) will be onstage at The Theater Project, 14 School St. in Brunswick for two weeks only, Sept. 27 through Oct. 6. Performance times are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Regular tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and students, $10 for children (12 and under; kids under 2 are free as long as they sit on a patron’s lap); top level seating in the theater is always Pay-What-You-Want. Tickets are available anytime at theaterproject.com
Everyone is welcomed to attend a post-show opening night reception with refreshments and an opportunity to meet the cast, crew and director. Bring a friend and come enjoy an evening full of engaging, delightful witticisms and lively physical comedy!
