“Mama Mia! Here We Go Again” - Held over after 2 record breaking weeks!!! - The original Mamma Mia was a huge hit on the London stage, then on Broadway, and finally one of the most popular films of the last decade. Now, 10 years later on the same Greek island of Kalokairi, Donna's (Meryl Streep) daughter Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is re-opening the hotel after her mother’s death. The opening party brings back her mom's friends Tanya and Rosie, her dads, and a host of memories. Through a series of flashbacks, with the young Donna (Lily James) and her three young boyfriends, we learn how relationships forged in the past resonate in the present. Cher and Streep make cameo appearances. “Mama Mia! Here We Go Again” (PG 13, AD & CC, 114 minutes) plays at 7 p.m. through Thursday, Aug. 23
“Three Identical Strangers” - Three young strangers are reunited by astonishing coincidence. After being born identical triplets, separated at birth, and adopted by three different families, their jaw-dropping, feel-good story instantly became a global sensation complete with fame and celebrity. However, the fairy-tale reunion set in motion a series of events that unearth a long-argued scientific theory about nature and nurture. Director Tim Wardle turns their heartwarming reunion into a detective story, putting together a puzzle, piece by piece, of how and why they were separated in the first place.
“This is a strange, ultimately quite distressing story touched by tragedy, told by Wardle with great skill and compassion in a brisk, consistently absorbing package.” - David Rooney, Sundance Film Festival
"Three Identical Strangers" (PG13 (AD & CC), 96 minutes) plays at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24 thru Thursday, Aug. 30 and Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
