Thirsty? Become a bartender
Toast the new year by learning a skill that could potentially put some extra cash in your pocket. Central Lincoln County Adult Education is offering a Become a Bartender class beginning Thursday, Feb. 6 through March 13 from 6 to 8 p.m.
Learn the bartending basics in a fun bar and restaurant environment. You’ll learn about glassware, pouring, and types of drinks along with alcohol awareness and how to obtain TIPS training. TIPS, a skills-based program, trains servers, sellers, and consumers of alcohol how to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking. Students will have hands-on experience and leave with the confidence needed behind the bar.
Instructor Dennis Herrick has 27 years experience in bar management. He has been teaching adults bartending for over 20 years. The cost of the course is $189.
