There’s a lot going on in Boothbay Harbor on Men’s Night (Wednesday, Dec. 18) this year, and shoppers who are looking for a few laughs between purchases can find them right on Commercial Street starting at 6 p.m.
That’s when Tim Sample will arrive at Sherman’s Books and Stationery to tell a few stories from “Bert and I ... Rebooted,” the new CD he made with Bert and I founder, Robert Bryan, the first album of new “Bert and I” tracks in more than 30 years.
Word has it that he may also give a “language lesson” from the 1983 album, “How to Talk Yankee,” now a classic, in which he and Bob instruct people from away in the proper usage and pronunciation of such Down East words and expressions as, “dear,” “ayuh,” “cunnin,” and “numb-as-a-hake.”
