Dear Editor:

While change is still ours to choose, we need the level-headed, hardworking, perceptive Cameron Reny working in the Maine State Senate to make a good life possible for us all in this place that offers us space, beauty, and a healthy balance between human beings and our fellow species.

Teaching and counseling has taught her both the societal problems we face and the skills to bring diversely motivated people together to solve them. She has already sponsored bills to create more affordable housing, reduce drug costs, and remove red tape from medical care, and her approach to protecting natural resources will provide sustainable jobs at a decent wage. Her work on the Marine Resources Committee, Climate Council, Coastal and Marine Working Group has won her the support of the Sierra Club and state conservation organizations. She has the endorsement of the AFL-CIO. Now she needs all of us to show up Nov. 5 and help her keep doing the great job.
