Letter to the editor
Why does it have to be this way?
Dear Editor:
For the first time in my fifty plus years of voting, I voted early in person. After having my political signs slashed and one completely bent over I am very concerned about what might happen on election day. The violence shown, not just to my signs, but to several other political signs in the same night was (just) frightening! The signs that were destroyed were all of the same political party.
I love going to the polls on election day, not only to vote, but also to socialize. Alas, not this year. I’m worried that too many people are listening to cruel lies that are making them angry.
Why does it have to be this way?
