Wiscasset graduation is June 11
All that's left for the Wiscasset High School class of 2015 is a little pomp and circumstance.
The Wiscasset High School graduation is Thursday, June 11, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Wiscasset High School gymnasium, 272 Gardiner Road, Wiscasset.
This year, 41 graduates will receive their diplomas from interim Superintendent of Schools Lyford Beverage, school board representative Steven Smith and Principal Cheri Towle.
The ceremony will start with the class of 2015 processional, then Jade Wood will give the senior welcome. Towle will follow with the principal’s welcome then Wood will read her senior essay.
Senior Tyler Flavin will give a musical performance, then Erika Auger will read her senior essay. Rachel Berry, Charlene Reed and guest Sam Smith will perform a song before Miranda McIntire reads her senior essay.
Following McIntire's essay, there will be the presentation of the diplomas, then finally the recessional and Pomp and Circumstance.
This year's valedictorian is Maeve Carlson, the salutatorian is Hannah Welborn and the marshals are Paul Hodgdon and Auger.
