Wiscasset sisters donate lemonade sales to FOS
Two young sisters have donated to Feed Our Scholars. Gretchen Burleigh-Johnson of FOS and St. Philip’s Church, Hodge Street, said. She said Lorelai Merry, 5, currently in Pre-K, and sister Alana, 4, who is going into Pre-K next school year, the daughters of TJ and Karianne Merry, had a lemonade stand outside their house May 22.
“They made $50 that they donated to Feed Our Scholars because Lorelai enjoyed the shopping events that we held at (Wiscasset Elementary School). She loved choosing things to take home to the family. She also likes her backpack with the wolf pawprint that she got at the Set for Success event held at WES last August,” Burleigh-Johnson shared in an email to Wiscasset Newspaper.
She added, “(Their) Mom thought that they were inspired to do a lemonade stand after having seen a cousin have a hot chocolate stand last winter.”
