WW&F Railway presentation at Lincoln Home
All aboard at the Lincoln Home for a presentation on the history and current restoration progress of the Wiscasset, Waterville & Farmington Railway on Monday, April 22, at 3 p.m. The presentation includes a slide show and a selection of artifacts for display, followed by a brief question and answer session.
The Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington was one of Maine's five narrow gauge railways. It extended from Wiscasset northward to Albion. The Railway was built in 1894 and closed in 1933. Today the Railway, under the auspices of the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railway Museum, is being reconstructed by dedicated volunteers.
