Route 27 traffic disrupted by truck leaving road
Traffic one way as Edgecomb Fire Department works on problem
A clogged culvert flooded part of Route 27 near the Edgecomb town office Wednesday morning and resulted in a Cunningham Security truck leaving the road. The Edgecomb Fire Department responded to the single-vehicle accident around 8:30 a.m. Fire Chief Roy Potter reported the driver hydroplaned on the standing water created by the clogged culvert. Fire officials helped get the truck back onto the road. Potter reported the driver was not injured and the vehicle was not damaged..
The EFD remained at the scene directing one-way traffic while workers unclogged the culvert.
