Ralva Orchard, 83, died on Dec. 25, 2018 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

Ralva was born on March 21, 1935 to George and Josephine (Mooers) London. On March 17, 1956, she was united in marriage to Ronald Orchard in Southport. Together, Ralva and Ron raised their children, Marie Kelley (Jamey), Teresa Tess (Mark), Janice Cotier (Bob), Eric Orchard (Jennifer), foster child Vincent Abaldo and Jason Orchard.

Ralva was predeceased by her parents, sisters Maxine and Lilla, and granddaughter, Rachel Kelley.

In addition to her husband and children Ralva is survived by her grandchildren, Samantha and Amanda Cotier, Madeline and Abigail Orchard, Skye and Luna Abaldo, Brandon and Allison Orchard; her brother, Charles; and sister, Sherrill.

Ralva was a member of the Southport Methodist Church and also frequently attended the Sunday evening non-denominational fellowship held at the Legion Hall in Boothbay. Among several jobs, Ralva worked for Gimbel’s and spent many summers working at the Strand Theatre and the Boothbay Railway Village. She loved to take rides, play games and spend time with family and friends.

Ralva was a devoted mother, loving wife and a good friend to anyone she met. She will be profoundly missed.

There will be a service in the spring, to be announced at a later date.
