Wiscasset Parks and Recreation has announced these events for Winterfest 2019:
Friday, Feb. 1: Family Trivia and Pizza Party 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Proceeds to benefit the Cooper DiPerri Scholarship Fund. Kick off Winterfest weekend with a fun family game night! Teams or individuals use Smartphones or tablets as answering devices. This way, we can award points for fastest teams and do buzz-in style rounds as well. We can supply devices or you can supply your own. Rounds consist of Music, Multiple Choice, First letter, number and buzz-in styles. Prizes will be awarded for various categories and of course the winning team! Pizza , drinks and desserts will be available for an additional cost. All proceeds of this event will benefit the scholarship fund. Children 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult, kids 4 and under are free.
Silent Auction throughout Winterfest: The Cooper-DiPerri Scholarship Committee will host a silent auction to begin Friday night at the Family Trivia event and continue throughout the day on Saturday during the Winterfest events. Winners will be announced at 3 p.m. Saturday. Bid on some great prizes such as: • Ride to school in a Wiscasset fire truck; ride to school in a Wiscasset police car; ride to school in the new Public Works dump truck; full year membership to Wiscasset Community Center ( up to a $444 value); seven weeks’ Mainely Summer Camp at WCC for a child entering Pre-K- grade 5 in the fall 2019 ( Value approximately $980); two spots on one of our family Red Sox trips, summer 2019. More to be added!
Saturday, Feb. 2: Activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. including, but not limited to: Outdoor winter fun with Midcoast Conservancy; Snowmobile trail rides with Wiscasset Sno-Goers; horse and carriage rides; indoor and outdoor activities with Morris Farm; Laser Tag with Monkey-C-Monkey-Do • Chewonki Animal Show “Owls of Maine”; pool activities including “ Chuck a Duck”; music, food and fun!
