Gloria Helen (Soule) Jones, 78, of Wiscasset, passed away Jan. 15, 2019 at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick after a brief illness. She left this earth surrounded by her family and friends.

Gloria was born on March 2, 1940 in Damariscotta to Albert Sr. and Mildred (Cunningham) Soule. She enjoyed sitting in the sun in her backyard, summer barbecues, planting flowers, cooking, taking Sunday drives, Maine’s delicious seafood and family.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Albert Soule Jr.

She is survived by her loving partner of 33 years, Charles A. Chapman; two daughters, Debra Bailey Gomez and Deanna (Mark) Meyer of Arizona; her son, Mel (Leila) Bailey; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Bible Baptist Church on 143 Beechnut Hill Road in Wiscasset.
