The first-ever Community Roadside Trash Pickup Day has been scheduled in Wiscasset for Saturday, April 27 from 8 a.m. to noon and volunteers are needed.

Organizer Cindy Collamore said the Wiscasset Fire and Police departments will participate by providing a rolling road block to keep volunteers safe while cleaning up the town’s roadsides. Participants are asked to gather at the Wiscasset Municipal Building at 7:45 a.m. High school students wishing to earn community service hours are urged to participate.
