Charles “Chuck” Chartier, 43, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 2 at his home in Jefferson.

He will be remembered by his family and friends for his devotion to the love of his life, Barbara Chartier, who passed away Oct. 5, 2019, of cancer.

Chuck filled his days with caring for Barbara, maintaining his home, and carving things from interesting pieces of wood he found around his property. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and spending time with his wife.

He is survived by his sisters, Michelle Chartier of Powell, Wyoming and Marsha Adams of Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey; his brother, Amos Chartier of Mt. Vernon; along with several nieces and nephews.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
