Smilin’ Trees Disarmament Farm will host a potluck and screening of the film “In the King of Prussia” on Friday, March 20, starting at 5 p.m. at the Midcoast Friends Meetinghouse, 77 Belvedere Road in Damariscotta.

The film reconstructs the events of the 1980s “Plowshares Eight,” depicting the witness of the eight anti-nuclear activists who entered the Re-Entry Division of the General Electric Space Technology Center in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania in September 1980 and their subsequent trial.

George Ostensen of Smilin’ Trees Disarmament Farm notes that there have since been over 100 similar witnesses around the world. He will share information about recent and continuing acts of resistance against weapons of mass destruction after the film.
