The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing work on the count sensors on Route 27 (Wiscasset Road) in Boothbay on Wednesday, July 1. The sensors are near the intersection of Route 27 and River Road. These sensors allow MaineDOT to accurately count the number of vehicles that use this highway throughout the year. Work will begin at 8 a.m. and should be done by the early afternoon. This project will involve lane closures on Route 27. Work will begin on the northbound side and end on the southbound side.
