Dear Editor:

I am writing to voice my support for Representative Holly Stover. Holly's record shows she cares about Maine and she cares about issues supporting the health, wellness, prosperity, and survival of our district, state and planet. I've witnessed Holly take a studied approach to the legislation she works with on the Health and Human Services Committee and on the House floor. She is savvy, thoughtful, and above all, concerned for all of Maine's residents.

I first reached out to her two years ago after seeing a plastic bag floating down the middle of Route 1. I wrote asking her to consider legislation to eliminate single-use plastics in Maine. She replied immediately. She had actually just submitted a bill to do just that for single-use plastic shopping bags. I like that the planet is also her constituent.

I respect and admire Holy Stover's track record, her obviously thoughtful approach to policy-making, and I particularly value her warm and responsive interactions with me as her constituent. She listens, she cares, and she makes good decisions for Maine.

She has my vote.
