William Raveis Real Estate has announced the hiring of Melissa Averill of Alna. She will work out of its Bath office and will also be spending time working in the Boothbay Harbor office.

Born and raised in Maine, Averill had the pleasure of growing up on Maine's coast. At a young age, she developed a special appreciation for all this state has to offer. Some of her most treasured memories from childhood include exploring local trails through the woods with her siblings and enjoying long days at the beach as a family. She continues to enjoy the great outdoors with activities such as hiking and skiing. With all these incredible opportunities, it is easy to understand why Averill is proud to call this beautiful state her home.

Forever driven to pursue her goals, she enrolled in the Capilo Institute right at a young age and set about earning her cosmetology license. After working in the field for eight years, she proudly opened her own salon. Through this work, Averill has learned respect, loyalty and a special ability to listen.

While being a businesswoman is an important part of who Averill is, her most treasured part of life is her daughter. Silly dance parties and reading books are just a few of the activities Averill does on a regular basis with her daughter. Being a mom has taught Averill patience and understanding.

She has always been intrigued by the real estate world. Now, with years of business experience behind her, she has joined forces with William Raveis as we build our collective business in Maine. Averill brings with her a vast network of past customers and clients, a refined business acumen and a deep knowledge of the Midcoast region.
