Lincoln County Dental Inc. is pleased to announce that it has begun welcoming patients to our practice at 93 Churchill Street in Wiscasset. Beginning last week, Office Manager Sherri Jewitt started contacting patients who previously reached out to Lincoln County Dental and expressed an interest in becoming a patient to assist with registration and scheduling an appointment.

We have been working diligently to prepare for opening our practice and delivering patient care. As with many aspects of our lives during the current pandemic, some items that we needed to purchase were back ordered and took longer than anticipated to be delivered and installed. Additionally, it was crucial to ensure that staff were trained in all aspects of our operational and safety plans.

Lincoln County Dental, Inc.’s website, https://www.lcdental.org has been updated to include general information about our practice, copies of our patient registration paperwork and other important documents regarding becoming a patient in our practice. The patient registration paperwork can be accessed by the “Patient Forms” link at the top of the home page. This paperwork will need to be completed by all patients prior to their first appointment. It will include a health history form, a copy of our notice of privacy practices, applicable consent forms, pertinent policies, and information regarding necessary supporting documents for patients who wish to determine eligibility to utilize the income based sliding fee scale. Individuals and families who do not have computer access may contact our office at 207-386-6600 to receive a copy of the necessary information.

We are happy to work with our patients regarding their insurance coverage and to assist in the submission of necessary claims. Our MaineCare provider credentialing application was submitted but has not yet been finalized. We anticipate that our Dentists will be fully credentialed with MaineCare in the near future.

The Lincoln County Board of Directors, administrative leadership and the clinical team are excited to be opening and look forward to welcoming all Lincoln County residents to our practice.
