MDOT announces Wiscasset signal change
Maine Department of Transportation announced Friday, Jan. 22, it is continuing to monitor the traffic signals in downtown Wiscasset and, “in response to requests by the town, supported by data, we are making changes to signal operations at one intersection. Starting Monday, Jan. 25, the traffic signals at the intersection of Water and Middle streets will now flash between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. from mid-October to mid-May.
“The operations of the traffic signals at the intersection of Routes 1 and 27 will not change. Those lights will cycle all day long throughout the entire year,” the announcement stated.
