March 29, members of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Pemaquid Chapter tapped Wiscasset Police Chief Larry Hesseltine to raise the Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Flag at the Wiscasset town office to draw attention to this special day of remembrance. National Vietnam War Veterans Day is observed annually to thank and honor our nation’s Vietnam veterans and their families.
Chapter daughters Sara Fahnley, Audrey Miller, Susann Hochstein and Clara Wentworth were joined by veteran Vivian Waltz who drove down from Nobleboro to watch Hesseltine raise the flag which flies under the American flag all day.
