Audrey F. Catassi
Mrs. Audrey F. (Furbush) Catassi, 73, of Boothbay passed away unexpectedly on April 4, 2021 at home.
Audrey was born Aug. 26, 1947 in Waterville, daughter of the late Maynard J. Furbush and Eleanor M. (Booker) Goodspeed. Audrey was born and raised in Belgrade and lived in both California and Colorado before returning to her beloved Maine, retiring in Boothbay for the last twelve years. She was a graduate of Belgrade High School Class of 1965.
Audrey held a variety of positions throughout her career, including many administrative and transcription positions.
Audrey loved to be with her family, she treasured the many phone calls, visits and time she spent with them. She was blessed with the gift of gab and no one she met was a stranger, but an instant friend. She enjoyed going for walks with loved ones, her daily trips to the local YMCA to exercise and chat with friends, making memory quilts, genealogy, and the occasional trip to the casino.
She is survived by her longtime companion and significant other Richard Rodriguez, her two daughters Meegan F. Moore and her husband Kevin S. Moore of Augusta and Calista M. Catassi and her partner Jeff Coston of So. China, her brother Darrel G. Furbush and his wife Jean of Oakland, her treasured three grandchildren Alexx L. Catassi, Colton A. Coston and Junelaine F. Moore. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Audrey is predeceased by her parents, late husband Leonard J. Catassi, sisters Joyce M. McKay and Hazel F. Jacques and her brother Paul M. Furbush.
In honoring with Audrey’s wishes there will be a graveside service in Pine Grove Cemetery, Belgrade at a date and time to be announced.
