“No Time To Die”- (PG-13; 2 hours, 43 minutes) - Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology. Starring Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas and Oscar winner Rami Malek. Final shows: Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m.
“Ace in the Hole” - (1951; 1 hour, 51 minutes) - In this classic film, with flaws that outweigh his talent, reporter Chuck Tatum (Kirk Douglas) has bounced across the country from job to job. Winding up in New Mexico, Tatum gets work from the local newspaper, but finds that there’s not much in the way of pressing news. However, when Tatum catches wind of a treasure hunter (Richard Benedict) trapped in a mine shaft, he turns the story into a media sensation. This is the third film in season 4 of the Classic Film Club celebrating the films of Billy Wilder. Special guest and film historian Jeannie MacDonald will provide a pre-film talk and introduction. “Seussical JR.” - Y Arts live on stage - Horton the Elephant (Spencer Pottle), the Cat in the Hat (Sophia Mansfield) and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical Jr., a fantastical musical extravaganza! Join us as the Y Arts youth return to the Lincoln Theater stage! Tickets: $5, are available for advance purchase through the Lincoln Theater’s online box office and at the door beginning 30 minutes before showtime. Performance dates: Friday, Dec. 3 at 5 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4 at 9 a.m. and Sunday, Dec. 5 at 1 p.m. Audience members are asked to wear a mask to all youth performances.
“Spencer” - (R; 1 hour, 51 minutes) - The marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. But this year, things will be profoundly different. “Spencer” is an imagining of what might have happened during those few fateful days. Playing at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 and Saturday, Dec. 4; Sunday, Dec. 5 at 3 p.m. (note later start time); Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 2 and 7 p.m. and Thursday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m.
“Eurydice” - The Met Live in HD - (Estimated running time; 2 hours, 45 minutes - with one 30-minute intermission) - Pre-opera talk with Dr. Morton Achter at 11:45 a.m. - The ancient Greek myth of Orpheus, who attempts to harness the power of music to rescue his beloved Eurydice from the underworld. Rising American composer Matthew Aucoin now carries that tradition into the 21st century with a captivating new take on the story. With a libretto by MacArthur “Genius Grant” recipient Sarah Ruhl, adapted from her acclaimed 2003 play, the opera reimagines the familiar tale from Eurydice’s point of view. Screens Saturday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. Tickets: $25/Adult, $23/members, $5/youth 18 and under.
