Annual Changing Aging series slated for Sept. 13-15
For the first time since 2019, the Changing Aging series that focuses on health and wellness for seniors, will return to an in-person format.
Changing Aging will take place Tuesday, Sept. 13 through Thursday, Sept. 15. This year’s schedule features diverse events and the opportunity to get a flu shot. Host sites include the Boothbay Region YMCA, the Central Lincoln County YMCA and the Inn Along the Way in Damariscotta.
There is no charge to attend any of the programs.
The schedule is as follows:
Monday, Sept. 12 – Friday, Sept. 16, Noon-2 p.m. Free walking each day at the Boothbay Region and CLC YMCAs
Tuesday, Sept. 13: Boothbay Region YMCA, 261 Townsend Avenue, Boothbay Harbor
- 9 - 9:30 a.m. Free blood pressure checks
- 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Enhance Fitness for Arthritis and Falls Prevention class (gym)
- 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. Pilates/Yoga/Stretch class (downstairs studio)
- Flu shots available, provided by Lincoln Medical Partners
Wednesday, Sept. 14, CLC YMCA, 525 Main St., Damariscotta
- 8 - 9 a.m. Living Fit sample class
- 9 - 9:30 a.m. Free blood pressure checks
- 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. What is pickle ball?
- 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Enhance Fitness for Arthritis and Falls Prevention class
- Flu shots available, provided by Lincoln Medical Partners
- Muffins and coffee available
Thursday, Sept. 15, The Inn Along the Way, 741 Main St., Damariscotta
- 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. Spectrum Generations and community partners healthy aging event
- Variety of community vendors and fun activities
