Visit Cape Newagen Alpaca Farm for free July 23
Join Cape Newagen Alpaca Farm on Sunday, July 23 for the 34th Maine Open Farm Day to celebrate agriculture in the state of Maine!
The event is free to the public. They require registration on their website: https://www.capenewagenfarm.com. Each ticket is for one group or one person to allow them to plan accordingly.
They will have four hourly time slots beginning at 11 a.m.
Visit the farm and have fun learning about who they are as Maine fiber producers. Tours will be offered to view their alpacas and chickens. You will also get to meet the newly welcomed flock residents to their farm. Anne and Mike have added three Finnish Landrace “Finn” lambs to join the fiber production! Two arrived last week and they wait for the third to arrive home in the beginning of August.
There will be carding and spinning demonstrations to show visitors how yarn is created. Visitors may choose to make their own felted soap and enter in a raffle! Meet the alpacas, chickens and sheep will be held rain or shine.
They look forward to celebrating agriculture in Maine on the 34th annual Open Farm Day!
