Feed Our Scholars (FOS) in Wiscasset provides weekend bags of shelf-stable foods during the school year to those Wiscasset Elementary students who want to take part. It is hard to do one’s best learning with an empty stomach, including on the weekends when children are not able to access the school breakfast and lunch program. 

To underwrite the costs of the program, FOS raises funds in many ways, and during the week of Aug. 18-25, board member and Pampered Chef hostess Kristen Cowing is throwing a Facebook Virtual Party Group. To take part in this effort, go to: tinyurl.com/FBFOSPC. There will be games, prizes, product highlights and recipes. A portion of the proceeds of items purchased will go to benefit the FOS mission. So plan to attend and bring your friends, too.
