Alna selectmen on June 6 agreed to ask a recent past Alna code enforcement officer to be the interim one. The board will ask Greg Lumbert; he was CEO last year from April to when he resigned in August, according to Wiscasset Newspaper files.

CEO Bruce Engert died last month. Selectmen said they understand Lumbert, who also serves other towns, is willing to be Alna’s interim CEO. Third Selectman Coreysha Stone thanked past Alna CEO Tom McKenzie, for having also “stepped forward and offered his services. (That’s) very generous.”
