The Boothbay Register/Wiscasset Newspaper will cease accepting political letters for the Nov. 5 elections at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21. The letters will be published online late afternoon on Oct. 21 and in the Oct. 24 issue.  

As has been the policy of the newspaper for several years, “Letters regarding elections or candidates will not be published in the issue immediately preceding the election. We reserve the right to decide which letters to publish in the interest of presenting a cross section of opinion, therefore, we may or may not publish all letters submitted.”
