Holly Stover is an advocate for our community
Dear Editor:
When my family first moved to Maine, we experienced something that left a lasting impression on us. One day our neighbor's house tragically burned down, leaving them with a total loss. That day, Holly Stover was one of the first people to show up—ready to offer comfort and support to the family. It wasn’t just any day, it was a holiday weekend, yet she was there, showing how deeply she cares for our community. This act of kindness was our introduction to Holly, and since then, I’ve seen how consistently she works for the people of Maine.
I have been particularly moved by her tireless work to address the opioid epidemic, sponsoring legislation that removes barriers to accessing life-saving addiction treatment medications. Her efforts have made naloxone more readily available to emergency personnel across Maine, a critical tool in saving lives during overdose emergencies.
Her record speaks for itself—whether it’s protecting our environment by sponsoring laws to reduce plastic waste in our oceans or securing funding for affordable housing, Holly has been a champion for our community. This November, I’ll be casting my vote for Holly Stover because she truly works for all of us.
