River Arts of Damariscotta is pleased to announce a call for artists for an upcoming Members’ Show. Running from May 27 through July 5, all current and new members are invited to submit one piece for this non-juried exhibition. This is a great time to become a member and join the River Arts’ community.

The Members' Show celebrates the talent of River Arts’ member artists and showcases the wide range of art being created in Maine. River Arts welcomes all media, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, fiber, photography, ceramics, original print making, drawing, encaustic and pastel. Works may be representational or abstract. The Members’ Show offers an opportunity for artists to submit work that best represents their personal style.

This salon-style show requires a limit of 30” in any direction including frame. Works may be delivered to the gallery during regular hours from now until the 4 pm deadline on Saturday, May 24. There is a $15 hanging fee. River Arts annual membership is $60 for individuals or $90 for a household. Current and new members are eligible for entry. All submitted works must be for sale and River Arts retains a 35% commission on sold works. Forms are available in the gallery or online at riverartsme.org.

There will be an opening reception on Saturday, May 31 from 1 to 4 p.m. River Arts is located at 36 Elm St., Damariscotta. Gallery hours are Tuesday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
