A brave princess at Story Time
Thank goodness for the smart, brave princess. A dragon had burned down her palace, destroyed all of her clothes and carried away the prince. She outwitted that fierce dragon and saved the prince.
Even though she saved his life, her prince thought her appearance was quite unacceptable, for her hair was a mess and she was wearing a paper bag! “The Paper Bag Princess” by Robert Munsch was the featured book at last week’s Story Time at the Wiscasset Public Library. The children took turns in using some dress up clothes to take the roles of the book’s characters.
Also read was a new Mo Willem’s Elephant and Pig book “I will Fly Today,” another interesting adventure for the two friends.
The Children’s Room has a new children’s librarian. Natalie Castonia has taken over this role once held by her mother, Joan Spurgat, who was also children’s librarian here for 17 years. She is excited and looking forward to this adventure.
Story Time takes each Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. and all are welcomed.
