William Harrison, 40, of Charleston, Mass., faces arraignment September 27 for allegedly attacking a Maine State Trooper convicted of sex crimes against Harrison's young relative. A Lincoln County grand jury indicted Harrison September 13.

He was arrested and released on bail following the April 12 incident in Lincoln County Superior Court. Vrooman's jury had reached its verdicts but had not aired them in court when the alleged incident occurred. The jury convicted Vrooman of multiple counts of unlawful sexual contact and he was fired shortly after.

The justice in Vrooman's case said the courtroom incident led him to measurably reduce Vrooman's sentence. He ordered the ex-trooper to serve 21 months in jail.
