A special two-hour leaf peepers tour is coming up on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m. on The River Tripper, located at Schooner Landing Restaurant and Marina, by the bridge in Damariscotta (rain date is Oct. 11, 2 p.m.).

Ticket prices are $35 for adults, $30 for senior citizens and $20 for children under the age of 12.

Once again we will be lucky to have one of our favorite guest naturalist, Sarah Gladu, on board with us from the Damariscotta River Association (DRA), who will share her amazing array of knowledge with us about this special river, its transformation and its habitat.

Fall has come a bit early this year and more than just the maple leaves are turning colors on the River. Seals and birds, oysters and muscles, and the oyster farmers are getting ready for the transition right in front of our eyes. Bring your camera for this breathtaking fall foliage cruise on the Damariscotta River. Hot cider and warm blankets are provided on board.
