Mary Beth Bonang said she prayed for two weeks for a good day on Saturday, Oct. 25, for the first ever Big Dane’s Memorial 5K Walk/Run.
The sun shined brightly on the Wiscasset High School track for the event that raised money for scholarships to Central Maine Technical College where Bonang’s son Dane Bonang attended.
Dane Bonang, 26, of Wiscasset died in a May 2013 car accident.
