It’s not too late to “Mangia! Mangia!” with Partners in Education (PIE) this Friday night, March 20, at Wiscasset Primary School for the Annual Italian Dinner and Gift Basket Raffle.  We’re excited to announce this year’s dinner will be prepared by Chef Mikael Andersson who will join our school’s own Terry Meehan to serve in the kitchen and all the other PIE volunteers who come together to make this a very special night. Chef Mikael will be serving up delicious, homemade baked ziti and spaghetti bolognese.  Other dinner selections include fresh Italian bread and spring mix salad.

This year’s Gift Baskets are full of amazing prizes including a bumper to bumper car detailing ($225 value), five free weekends at an area campground ($269 value), train tickets to Boston ($150 value), many tickets to various attractions, museums, theme parks, and much, much more!  There are several themed gift baskets as well, for instance, Racetrack Basket, Movie Night Basket, and Art Supply Basket, to name just a few.

Proceeds from the dinner and raffle fund swimming lessons for all students in grades one through three at the Wiscasset Community Center, including the cost of transportation. Living in a coastal community makes understanding water safety and knowing how to swim an important, life-saving skill, so please come out to “Mangia! Mangia!” with PIE and support this important endeavor.

The Italian Dinner and Gift Basket Raffle is from 5 to 6:30 p.m., Friday, March 20, at Wiscasset Primary School, 146 Gardiner Road, in Wiscasset. Dinner tickets are just $5 each ($20 for a family of 2 adults and up to 5 children under age 18) and are available at the door. Tickets for the raffle are $1 each or 6/$5.
