Wiscasset Middle School book fair raises more than $500
The Wiscasset Middle School book fair was a roaring success and was enjoyed by students, parents and staff alike. Library Education Technician Molly Carlson used the book fair as an opportunity to invite students to enter an optional writing contest with the prompt, “What do you like about your favorite book?”
Of the entrants, 20 people were chosen to receive $5 gift certificates to the book fair, compliments of Scholastic books.
“Overall, we put more than $530 worth of new books into the Wiscasset Middle School library as our reward for hosting the book fair,” Carlson said. “I would like to thank Project Reach students and Jason Drake of Jobs for Maine Graduates for hosting the bake sale table, and students, staff and parents for supporting our book fair.”
