Pastel artist featured at The Lincoln Home
The Lincoln Home welcomes Rebecca Yates Shorb as the featured Twin Village ArtWalk artist Friday, Aug. 21, from 4-7 p.m. Meet the artist at the opening reception, from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and view her exquisite pastels and paintings. Shorbs works will be for sale during the reception in the Lincoln Home living room.
Shorb is a plein air artist living and working in Maine and Pennsylvania. She was recently recognized by both the Maryland and Degas Pastel Societies with signature membership. She has received numerous awards in National and International Shows and was juried into the International Association of Pastel Societies in June.
Her love of the Maine coast and her passion for art lead her to the Plein Air Painters-the Real Thing where she conducts the critique each Thursday.
Artists will donate 25 percent of the sale of their work to Lincoln Home Resident Financial Assistance. The Lincoln Home, a nonprofit, takes no state monies of any kind, but endeavors to provide assistance to those who need help.
