Trio of local artists exhibiting at Atlantic Motorcar
The works of three local artists - Ruth Monsell, Judy Nixon and Pamela Logan - are currently gracing the walls of Atlantic Motorcar (AMC) until June.
Pamela Logan has been a photographer for over 30 years searching for innovative perspectives in nature, and the micro details of her surroundings. Logan's featured works are andscapes of Lincoln County, a series of color photographs capturing the light and magic of nature locally. For more of her work, visit www.pamelalogan.com.
Judy Nixon moved to Maine in 1999 and became inspired to pursue her interest in painting. Watercolor is her primary medium but she enjoys working in acrylics and gouache, using Asian brush. Nixon also creates monotypes. She is inspired by local nature scenes and still life. Additional work is on her website, http://judynixonartist.com.
Ruth Monsell is a lifelong artist originally from Long Island, New York. Monsell works in a variety of mediums landscapes are a recurring theme. She is also known for her portrait work in charcoal, pastel or oil. In her AMC show, her oils of beach scenes and an alewives trio are featured. Monsell’s website is www.artfulheirlooms.com.
AMC offers display space for artists creating with watercolor, print, acrylic, mixed media and/or print mediums. No commission or hanging fee is charged. The space is donated as a service for the enrichment of the community at large and in support of the local art community.
Stop in during business hours and browse their works in the waiting room and halls - you don't have to be a customer of AMC to see the show!
