“My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2” Parenting and marriage is becoming tougher and tougher for Toula (Nia Vardalos) and her husband Ian (John Corbett). Not only has their relationship lost some of its spark, but they're also dealing with a rebellious teenage daughter who clashes with Greek traditions.
On top of that, Toula must contend with aging parents and the endless needs of cousins and friends. When a shocking family secret comes to light, the entire Portokalos clan makes plans to come together for an even bigger wedding than before. “Durant's Never Closes” Starring Tom Sizemore and Peter Bogdanovich, this Indie film tells the story of legendary Jack Durant, a restaurateur, ladies’ man, and mysterious gentleman who maintained many connections to the mafia. From the backwoods of Tennessee, to the world of Vegas at the time of Bugsy, and finally as the owner of his famous steakhouse, Durant is a legend and dynamic character, at once charming, powerful, and dangerous. A Q&A follows the screening led by director Travis Miles. Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m.
“How to Die in Oregon” The award-winning documentary about Oregon's right to die (with dignity) law. A Q&A follows the screening led by Valerie Lovelace speaker, educator, and founder of It’s My Death (IMD), a Maine-based 501 (c) (3) nonprofit whose mission is providing services and education to people wishing to actively explore the meaning of life through embracing the certainty of death. One of IMD’s goals is to help break societal taboos surrounding how we die. A free community discussion event, Wednesday, April 20, 1-4 p.m.
